The shareholders of the company Kofola Holding a.s. and No. 3 among Polish beverage producers, Hoop S.A., yesterday entered into an input agreement about the possibility of amalgamation of the companies. After this amalgamation, a beverage group would originate which would act on the Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and Russian market and whose overall turnover would reach more than 8.6 milliard Czech crowns.
As a result of the amalgamation and the consolidation of the companies’ activities, a company named Kofola-Hoop S.A. will originate in Poland and it will be traded at Warsaw Stock Exchange. The result of the merger will be a state when the shareholders of the Ostrava based Kofola Holding a.s. will be the majority owner of this new company.
The shareholders of the future Kofola-Hoop S.A. are planning to utilize important synergies of costs and income, which will be reached by the amalgamation, and to intensely develop trademarks with international impact.
Both sides will shortly perform the necessary research, analyses and assessments for the discussion of detailed conditions of the merger in compliance with a mutually approved schedule.
