Out of nowhere - straight to eighth place
Prague, 4.4.2007 -The 100 most admired companies in the Czech Republic were announced at a gala evening on the 29 th March 2007. The company Kofola a.s. was awarded 8 th place - becoming the most successful newcomer.
For the first time in its history, the company Kofola a.s. has been ranked on the table of the 100 most admired companies in the Czech Republic, in the ninth year of the annual chart compiled by the CZECH TOP 100 Association. Taking part for the first time, Kofola was lifted straight into the Top 10 among such giants as the Škoda car company, the ČEZ group and the pharmaceutical company Zentiva. The award of eighth place to Kofola a.s. has been one of this year's greatest surprises. Kofola has also become the most admired company in Moravia, and has taken second place among companies operating in the food and tobacco industries across the whole of the Czech Republic .
The principal aim of the CZECH TOP 100 Association is to regularly compile and publish a list of the most important companies in the Czech Republic . It currently releases a whole range of charts every year and organises the accompanying events, conferences and professional discussion forums.
The chart for the 100 most admired companies in the Czech Republic is compiled on the basis of votes from managers of prominent companies, economic and financial analysts, as well as representatives from occupational societies, federations and professional associations. As part of the voting these professionals evaluated a series of criteria, moving from primary indicators through to employee relations and finally the relationship between the company and society itself.
