Kofola, the producer of soft drinks, reports growth in sales for 23.1% in the first half of the year compared with the same time period of the past year. During the first six months of this year, the Kofola Group reached sales of its products and services in Central Europe of CZK 2,454,278 thousand. In addition, the Group increased employment in the whole Central-European region by 7% compared with June last year and now it employs 1,336 people.

Year 2007 - year of changes and innovations
The company representatives expected the growth in sales also due to product innovations that were planned for 2007. To mention just some of them, in February, the new functional water Rajec Bylinka was launched (spring water Rajec with extracts from thyme or balm). At the same time, also the new, trendier design of Kofola drink was introduced. Changes continued in the spring, in particular in the product line of the Jupí brand and Jupík, the fruit drink for children. The favourite line of Jupí fruit drinks and juices was extended by drinks in new attractive packages and non-traditional flavours. The Jupík fruit drink for children underwent total innovation of the product itself as well as its design and the style of communication with very young customers.
